Lecturers are usually booked externally but are very much in demand to fill in those long sea days. Most positions are for one cruise at a time and are aimed more at people with a passion for a subject, who are looking for a free way to be a passenger, rather than those looking for a paid career at sea. However, Port and shopping lecturers and auctioners can be an exception to the rule.
