Have decided you "can" and want to learn more?
If so:

You have made a wise decision!

Accept now that in years to come you will remember this day. The day you decided to look into the future. Think of a special lifestyle!

Some days will be spent in the tranquil surroundings of the open ocean, away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Other days will be spent on beautiful beaches away from the ship, and others will be spent in some of the worlds greatest cities.

Imagine waking up one day in Venice, another day in Barcelona, or perhaps the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean, Caribbean, or South pacific in view from your port hole as you awake.

 Where will you be next?

Cruise ships travel all around the world. Some travel everywhere. Others stay in one region.

Could you imagine yourself on a round the world cruise? There is no reason why not! I did so from start to finish 3 times and there is no better way to spend those winter months; following the sun around the world.

Ships that stay in one area allow you to really get to know that area and perhaps make friends in the ports. I spent 3 years in the Caribbean and never wanted to leave!

The Caribbean and Mediterranean are the most popular regions for cruising, but how about the mountains of Alaska, the hot springs of Iceland, the Ice Edge and Spitsbergen? Or, how about Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong and the Orient?

The chances are that you will be able to see all these if you stay at sea for a while!

Wherever you want to go there is a whole world out there to see.

It's just a question of getting yourself onboard and seeing it!

One of the hardest decisions is deciding what to spend your time doing.

Here are just a few ideas!

  • Waiter
  • Barman
  • Chef
  • Deck staff
  • Hotel staff
  • Cabin Steward/Stewardess
  • Tour staff
  • Cruise staff
  • Entertainer
  • Croupier
  • Hairdresser or Beautician
  • Officer
  • Contractor

It's worth mentioning that a lot of posts do not require previous experience, just a good attitude!

Many posts are offered via an agent as too many people apply. Some cruise lines offer posts directly.

By now you are probably asking; "How will I know which posts need to be applied for via an agent?" and "What is it really like working at sea?"

That's where I can come in!
