Or you can admit defeat and jump on a plane for your summer holidays. And if you re going to choose option B, why not treat yourself to a little bit of Paradise in the form of the stunning island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands.

Legend has it that Maungapu, Aitutaki's highest hill, at one time resided at the top of Rarotonga s Raemaru Peak and was brought to Aitutaki by victorious warriors after a fierce battle. Thankfully the warriors have long since departed and now the only things you ll find in vast numbers are the many colourful fish at fill the lagoon surrounded by Maungapu.
Aitutaki has a great range of accommodation but if you re on one of the most luxurious islands in the world why settle for anything but the best?
